Your life is your art

YOUR LIFE IS YOUR ART
Every day I see images that our customers create as 4×6 inch prints. These are all destined eventually for the storage box, closet or a drawer somewhere, never to be heard from again. We live, we capture, we value and we store images. Sometimes we share, but let’s face it, the power and the joy of a beautiful image- of our life as art- framed and displayed in our home or office is woefully absent. I’m not talking about a large image of family members alone. I know that we all have images from trips, vacations, or events that are really meaningful to us, yet we don’t take the time or effort to get them enlarged to enjoy every day.
Any one of these images when reviewed by a good printer, some cropping and color correction, a mat and a frame, can fill your space with the pleasure and memories of that location or event. Moreover, you created it! Why buy some cheesy poster when you can be the author of your own art.
OK, buying someone else’s sense of art is fine and I have plenty, but the few pieces I have created validate me and my creative side- a side, I might add, that we all have. Just like we can all sing and dance if we just let ourselves go, ( ok maybe you can’t make a living at it), but it’s so great to express ourselves.
Many of us are frustrated by this difficult economy, and we have learned to live with less, but those images that you have been creating and shoving in a box somewhere can provide you with a really inexpensive way to decorate. For less than the cost of dinner for two you can have a favorite image, enlarged, corrected, enhanced and framed to enjoy for many years after that dinner is long forgotten. So, go ahead, take another look at those images find a few you really like and go to your neighborhood camera shop or lab and discuss the options you’ll be surprised at the results.
